Dark Horse Wine Labels

Recently, I learned that all wines should be chilled prior to serving. When researching this, I learned that many, even avid, wine drinkers were unaware of this. These redesigned Dark Horse wine labels change color to inform the consumer of when the bottle has been chilled to the correct serving temperature for they wine they are going to drink.

For the graphics on the bottles, I used a shape influenced by the traditional silhouette of a serving glass for each type of wine. When designing the label, I used a color palette influenced by the wine color for the room temperature label. The original color changes to one that is its direct opposite on the color wheel when it is chilled. This creates easily recognizable contrast for the consumer, while maintaining simplicity and elegance that will jump out at the consumer while they peruse the wine shelves.
